Venice...

Sunset Leaving Venice.

I painted around 20 watercolours following a trip to Venice last year. Each of them a special memory of this magnificent place.

At the end of our stay a speed boat was hired to take us back to the mainland. It was travelling at around 100mph, with me hanging out by my toe nails to make sure this scene was irrevocably etched in my mind. 

I can hardly believe that it is a year ago that Kim, my childhood friend, took me on this trip of a life-time. Such amazing sights and so many memorable experiences. I have so much to thank her for.
