Q: What can I do with my failed paintings?

A: Old, "failed" or experimental paintings can be turned into greeting cards

I bought some aperture cards yesterday without much idea how I would use them. Today however, I've been going through old paintings, failed paintings and this years experimental paintings and discovered endless card making possibilities. See below! Pictures taken with a camera in poor light - sorry, I'm no photographer.

The aperture of the card is in the centre which allows you to fold one side over the back of the picture giving it a neat appearance. I used double sided tape to hold the flap down.

I love to make use of things that are no longer needed. Here are a couple of other suggestions:-

I know of one artist that shredded her unwanted paintings, made them into handmade paper and then reused it and another who made hers into paper mache and made a bowl out of it.
