WATERCOLOUR COURSES WITH ELEANOR MANN IN SUDBURY, SUFFOLK
Watercolour Painting Foundation Courses, Part I and II. These are essential courses for beginners.
Part I
This structured course is ideal for those who have never painted in watercolour before and would like to try. Can’t draw? Don’t worry, we’ll deal with that too.
The course runs for 6, two hourly sessions covering the basics of this rewarding and beautiful medium. Learn the techniques needed to get started and understand your materials.
The Course progresses quickly to techniques - washes, colour mixing, the importance of tone and tips and tricks to create interest and texture with step-by-step demonstrations.
These courses are small and friendly; making you feel at ease. Through demonstrations, theory and practice you will develop confidence.
My aim is to teach the essential techniques that can be translated to any style or subject matter whether it is landscapes, still life, portraits or flower painting.
Part II of the course will follow Part I at the same time/day, providing enough people want to continue.
A list of equipment can be forwarded, if needed, or equipment can be supplied (for an additional charge of £10 per week) but advance notice is needed.
Six-week course, £150. Please register your interest in future courses by contacting me as places go on a first come first serve basis. If you can't wait I have a new online subscription whereby you can do all 3 courses from the comfort of your own home.
Please read the Terms and Conditions of sale for services before booking a course, class, workshop or private lesson.
"I would just like to say how much I have enjoyed learning to paint in watercolour with Eleanor Mann. I went to one of her six week, learn to paint in watercolour courses and I'm now fully hooked. I go to her for private lessons each week now. Eleanor has a laid back style of teaching which puts you at ease. As a 48 year old male it has been one of the best hobbies I have taken up."
- Mr N Younger.

Part II of the Watercolour Painting Foundation Course. This is another essential course aimed at those who have completed Part I, but wish to continue to progress further.
This structured course runs for 6, two hour seasons and is ideal for those wanting to reinforce their basic watercolour knowledge and move forward with their work.
I will be encouraging you to try new approaches and techniques. Starting with more advanced techniques such as wet-into wet and negative painting, I demonstrate paintings that bring all the techniques learnt together. I will also explain the theory behind them.
My aim is to teach techniques that can be translated to any style or subject matter whether it is landscapes, still life, portraits or flower painting. I do not wish to impose my style on someone but rather to encourage and enhance their natural style.

A. I am not able to state a time or day for upcoming courses because they are arranged according to the requirements of the people who have registered an interest and are on my waiting list. In general terms I teach from 10am-noon and 7pm-9pm so it could be either of those times.
If you are interested (in either time) I would be happy to add you to the waiting list and contact you once I have a specific day and time to see if you are available.
