After spending so long painting the individual pictures, seeing the whole collection come together was amazing.
I’m still receiving messages from people telling me how much they loved the exhibition and how happy they are with their new paintings.
It was especially lovely to see so many people I have taught over the years. There was a wonderful atmosphere over the two days — it felt less like a formal exhibition and more like a reunion, almost a party, with people catching up, chatting about the paintings and enjoying being together.
Borley Bakes was also a great success, selling out of their savouries and cakes on both days, with everyone saying how delicious they were.
I have so many people to thank for helping me - Steve Cant for delivering the paintings to the church, Julie Hastings-Smith for setting it up and Suzanne Bird, Jane McCabe, Deirdre Duffy, Lesley Galpin and Sandra Brown, who helped with sales - I could not have done it at all without your help. ❤️.
Finally, thank you to everyone who came and supported me. I feel overwhelmingly loved. 🥰
